Gtfs Trip Patterns

A trip pattern is one unique ordered stop sequence served on a (route, direction). Trips calling at the same stops, in the same order, with the same pickup/drop-off rules collapse onto a single pattern — times are not part of the identity, so two trips running the same stops an hour apart are the same pattern.

Patterns are computed from stop times, so unlike the NMBS/SNCB ones they exist for every agency. Rail feeds publish platform-level stops whose assignment shifts day to day, so NMBS/SNCB patterns are keyed on stations instead — that is what stopGranularity tells you.
